Alaina Shearer founded Cement Marketing in 2009 after seeing a clear need for designing and developing Websites that would also attract an audience through search and social optimization. The idea was simple–create Websites and launch them with a content strategy that creates traffic and builds and audience for the Website. The result has been astounding as Cement Marketing’s clients continue turning to the firm for their results-driven approach.
Prior to founding Cement Marketing Alaina created award winning interactive work at Fahlgren advertising as their Senior Interactive Copywriter. She is also the author of Ms. Single Mama, a blog for single mothers attracting 20,000 unique visitors per month.

Senior Project Strategist – Search Marketing
Alison Momot has over six years of digital project management and strategy experience. Her agency career began at Fahlgren as an Interactive Project Manager. Alison joined Cement in 2012, coming to us from San Francisco, where she worked for hot shot creative strategy shop Eleven, Inc., producing email marketing and web campaigns for Apple. She’s also spent some time at the Googleplex, digging into global CRM strategy with the small business and agency marketing groups there.
Senior Project Strategist – web and social
Prior to joining Cement Marketing, Bob Berman spent the past 4 years as a Senior Project Manager for The Rethink Agency in New York City. Drawing upon the marketing experience he garnered at Jack Morton Worldwide and MTV, Bob worked directly with clients such as Sixpoint Brewery, Sterling Publishing and Ninkasi in the conception of creative incentive programs and the management of demographically targeted marketing campaigns. Albeit in the development or enhancement of digital footprints, Bob has extensive experience successfully engaging client audiences through social media and search engine optimization and will be an invaluable asset to the Cement Marketing team.
Paid Search Marketing Strategist
For the past two years, Rod has been with Big Mouth Media, the UK’s #1 SEO and PPC agency. Rod started as a PPC account manager with Big Mouth and quickly moved up into the role of Digital Account Manager. In addition to being a digital whiz kid, always chasing and capturing the coveted conversion, Rod from Scotland is also a front end WordPress developer on the side. He’s also well versed in Photoshop, Joomla, Drupal, HTML/CSS and a bit of PHP. And did we mention he also has an AdWords Advanced Certificate? Some of his clients have included BetFair.com, LastMinute.com, and Tastecard.co.uk.
For Cement Marketing, Rod from Scotland, manages all client PPC accounts.
Senior Design and Development Director
Scott is a rare hybrid, a designer and developer. He comes to Cement Marketing as our designer after one year at Fahlgren Mortine. His passion for both design and development makes him an incredible resource to our team. His Facebook promotion designs are all kinds of awesome, see some of his work here in our portfolio.
A graduate of Purdue University and a Resource Interactive Alum, Alex Henderson is a content creating ninja. He has three years of experience in Interactive marketing, most of which is now applied to creating content for Cement Marketing clients. This content varies from a series of engaging blog posts to extensive keyword research leading to dynamic page titles and meta copy. It may sound dreary and tedious to you, but to Alex – content marketing is almost as cool as his Lincoln Town Car.
Community Manager and Copywriter
An Athens, Ohio native and a proud graduate of the Ohio University E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, Daniella is an incredible asset to the Cement Marketing team and our clients. She is also a digital native and an early adopter. It means Daniella was using Instagram before most of us knew it existed. This social marketing savvy along with her mad blogging skills and journalism background makes her a fierce community manager.
Sarah is the definition of a “People Person”. She’s a true joy to work with and we’re lucky to have her. This is a new venture for Sarah, but everything is in this line of work and she’s up for the challenge. Her role is to guide her connections through the process of what all of this SEO an Social stuff means and then on board them into the Cement client roster. Aaron keeps us afloat. He’s our business manager, which means he’s all up in our business all of the time. Keeping track of the nitty-gritty, so we can stay busy on our client work.
The Office Dog
Archer may look like he doesn’t do much around here (he does sleep a lot), but Archer is the Cement Marketing office guardian and he provides a tremendous amount of stress relief for his pet human, Alaina. He’s incredibly friendly, but if you stop by with food, be sure to keep an eye on your meal. You never know when you might catch Archer trying to sample some human vittles.
