The Arena District’s Facebook scavenger hunt sent fans online, offline. Their mission: post photos of the Arena District to the Facebook page and win movie tickets to the Arena Grand.
When the Arena District called on Cement Marketing to create a campaign that would increase and engage their Facebook fan base, our response was Hunt the District – a photo scavenger hunt.
Every Tuesday from October 18 – November 22, the Arena District Facebook page posted two items for fans to find, photograph and upload to the District’s Facebook Wall by the following Monday. Every participant who completed the hunt received one pair of FREE Arena Grand Movie Theatre passes and each week, five participants were randomly selected to win a $50 Arena District gift card. One Love: Facebook photo tagging

Growing your Facebook fan base through photo tagging.
Facebook is all about your fans. That’s easy enough to say, but how do you prove it and also engage your fans at the same time? How do you drive them into an action with your Facebook page? One sure bet is through photos. Feature a photo of a customer or client on your Facebook page and they will come back, tag themselves and share that photo with their friends. It’s simple really, but how do we bring that to life?
While working with Raising Cane’s of Ohio on their Facebook marketing, we put the photo tagging tactic to the test by suggesting Cane’s set up a fun photo booth for a couple of nights outside their newest location in Pickerington. We asked fans one questions – “What is your one love?” They answered on a dry erase board, got into costume and hopped into the booth.
We showed up to document the action and, as you can see, “Caniacs” loved it. Read more…

On 29, Mar 2010 | One Comment | In Case Studies, Columbus Web Design, Social Media, Uncategorized, Website Design | By Alaina
Lifeline of Ohio, Cement Marketing’s first major website overhaul and re-design, has launched. The project broke ground on January 28th and went live just six weeks later on March 17th.
The new site successfully organizes the massive amount of content in a compelling way, leading the user through the story of organ and tissue donation from why, who and how the issue touches so many thousands of lives here in Ohio. Built entirely in WordPress, the site also boasts complete social media integration, from social sharing features to dynamic featured blog post generation and a Twitter stream – the client can update every area of the site with ease.
In just the first week, the new Lifeline of Ohio site has seen over 80 comments from active readers. And an early look at Lifeline of Ohio’s analytics already show dramatic improvements in user experience. On average visitors are spending more time on the site, viewing three times as many pages, and thanks to initial social media efforts by Lifeline of Ohio on Facebook and Twitter, the number of unique visitors has jumped by 30%.
We expect that number to grow as Cement Marketing continues playing an advisory and strategic role in Lifeline of Ohio’s social media efforts.
Please explore the new Lifeline of Ohio website and Facebook fan page and please, register to become an organ and tissue donor.
